‘The first time I saw porn, I knew I had found my calling. My mind was set and there were no other options. And since I’m gay, obviously gay porn was what I was heading for. I didn’t speak English at the time, so I studied overseas where I also started my career. At first, I only acted in European movies because I didn’t want my parents to find out, but now I’m back and starring in Japanese films, too. My parents still don’t have a clue what I do for a living. I met some actors overseas that were open about it to their family, but I don’t think that’ll ever be an option for me.’

‘I haven’t even came out for being gay, but deep inside I think my mom has always known. Moms just know these things. I believe I’ll come out to them one day, but telling them what I do is different. My parents are running a kimono shop in the Aichi prefecture, so you can imagine how traditional they are. If the community they live in would know about my job, it could seriously harm their reputation. And that’s the last thing I want.’

‘I don’t get the use of mosaic in Japanese porn. I really don’t. If you cover up the vital parts, what is it that excites people about watching it? Gay porn is rather boring if there are no dicks involved, right? I have my views and ideas, so I’m working on my first movie. I’m combining the role of director and actor for that one. I still have a lot to learn but I’m sure having fun doing so.’
